Job Description

The Corporate Actions Sales Channel Executive is a product and market specialist, with technical and business expertise in the Corporate Actions industry with a focus on the Buy and Sell side. You will work with the Buy and the Key Account Sales Channels in the North American Sales organization with the primary objective of the role being to drive top line revenue growth. The role will involve working closely with clients, the sales team, the development team and the Professional Services team.

In your Sales capacity, you will engage with prospective XSP clients to generate new sales opportunities, and follow up and develop opportunities and leads provided by other sources. To operate at this level, you will need to display a thorough understanding of the XSP offering, modules, implementation options, configurations as well as the Corporate Actions Lifecycle challenges and industry best practices.

The Sales Channel Executive is a highly motivated individual who can successfully work with all levels in an organization (including C-level executives) to successfully deliver key value based sales messages about the FIS XSP Solution suite via presentation, and be able to successfully position the solution against the competition. The position will be based in North America (East coast preferred) and will be reporting to the Head of Key Account Management, Buy-Side, and Sell Side Sales in North America. Extensive travel will be required.

Responsibilities

The Corporate Action Sales Channel Executive's primary role is to sell the XSP solution suite to a pre-defined market segment, possibly in a pre-defined territory in North America. You will need to be able to convey the business and technical commercial value proposition of the solution of the XSP solution to prospective clients as a subject matter expert. Tasks include:

  • Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets by managing all aspects of the sales process such as building a sales pipeline, developing opportunities, winning, and closing deals.
  • Deliver sales presentations and coordinate software solution demonstrations with the Pre-Sales team to client prospects.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of various deployment options and their implications.
  • Collaborate with the Pre-Sales team to respond to RFI's / RFP / client queries with software features and business content in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop new business opportunities across FIS segments, join other business units for comprehensive demonstrations and interface with the product management, professional services, support and development organizations.
  • As a Corporate Actions market expert, be aware of industry trends, drivers and regulatory initiatives; understand the competitive offerings and their differentiators in the market, read trade and industry journals to keep abreast of industry thoughts and initiatives.

Position Requirements: Essential skills

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Substantial Corporate Actions sales experience (5+ years) to include an understanding of the typical departmental structure and processes within those departments. This will typically be gained in a software company, financial institution, or consultancy company given the requirements of this role.
  • Thorough understanding of various software deployment options (on-site, cloud, BPO)
  • Strong experience in client facing activities with a demonstrated entrepreneurial and consultative approach.
  • Understanding of the entire sales cycle, from market research through to contract signing.
  • Equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding sales presentation abilities.
  • Ability to build a quantitative business case and articulate a return on investment (ROI)
  • Fluent English written and verbal language skills.
